My Approach

At Darling Sun Doula, my approach is rooted in calm, compassion, and genuine connection. I believe that every birth and every family deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated exactly as they are.

My role is to hold space for you, offering grounded, nurturing care that honours your values, your choices, and your story. I walk beside you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with gentle guidance, evidence-based information, and a warm, steady presence.

I am proud to support and affirm all families, including BIPOC, disabled and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming parents and birthing people, creating an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and deeply cared for.

Every journey is unique, and my care reflects that through inclusive, heart-led support.

Nesting with Dogs

Supporting calm, safe transitions for babies and dogs

These offerings are grounded in my experience as a certified dog trainer and are designed for both families and perinatal professionals working in homes with dogs. They are inspired by my own journey of bringing a baby into a dog-filled home, and later expanding our family with a second dog, and the transitions that came with each stage.

My work includes making space for families who may need extra support, whether due to financial barriers, single parenthood, or being new to the country, and I’m deeply committed to volunteering with young parents along their journey.

Birth & postpartum Doula

The Seedling

Complimentary one hour in-person or virtual meet and greet.

Prenatal support includes 3 in-home visits to check in, share resources, answer questions, explore your birth preferences, practice labour comfort measures and tools, and talk through your early postpartum plan.

You’ll also have unlimited 24/7 text support, giving you space to ask questions, check in, or reach out for reassurance whenever you need it.

From 37 weeks onwards, you’ll have on-call support so I’m ready to join you when labour begins and support you through your baby’s arrival.

On your birth day, I’ll support you with comfort measures, partner support, and help understanding your options so you feel confident and heard in your decisions. This includes up to 4 hours of immediate postpartum support, as well as access to my doula bag of tools.

Includes 18 hours of postpartum support, offered in minimum 3-hour sessions so you can receive steady, flexible care in a way that works for you. Your postpartum support can include feeding guidance and care (breast/chest, bottle, pumping, or formula), as well as gentle help with pets and support for siblings as they adjust to your growing family.

*Please note that all postpartum support hours must be used within the first 6 months following your baby’s birth.

For families wanting consistent, from-pregnancy-to-birth-support, with a dedicated postpartum debrief session

You’ll also have unlimited 24/7 text support, giving you space to ask questions, check in, or reach out for reassurance whenever you need it.

From 37 weeks onwards, you’ll have on-call support so I’m ready to join you when labour begins and support you through your baby’s arrival.

Includes a 1-hour postpartum visit to be completed within the first month after birth. This is a dedicated space to receive your birth timeline, any photos taken, and to gently reflect on and debrief your birth experience with emotional support.

These sessions are offered to complement your package, providing extra hands-on support and guidance during pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Prenatal visit – $35 for a 1-hour session
Postpartum visit – $35/hour (minimum 3 hours per visit)

*All postpartum hours must be completed 6 months after their purchase date.
